WHY WE EXIST • THE SEAL IS ONLY PART OF THE EQUATION

The right seal starts with understanding what your application demands.

Pressivon — precision sealing solutions. 54 mapped products, 7 families. Homepage routes intent, catalog decides fit, engineering confirms before quotation.

Why seals fail in real life (not catalog)

01MEDIA ∩ T

Wrong elastomer for media

Viton that swells in amine, EPDM that degrades in oil, FFKM where PTFE would do. Brochure says 'chemical resistant' — but which chemical, at what temperature? We saw this cause 60% of early failures in waste and chemical plants.

FIELD OBSERVED
02P-BOX vs P-SYSTEM

Box pressure ≠ system pressure

System shows 12 bar, but seal chamber sees 18 bar with dead-ended flush. Or suction pressure plus dynamic head misread as static. Single-spring seal quoted where balanced double was needed.

FIELD OBSERVED
03API 682 PLAN

Flush plan missing

Dry-running faces in clean water because Plan 11 wasn't piped. Coking in hot oil at 350°C because no cooler. Vapor locking in light hydrocarbons. The seal was fine. The system around it wasn't.

FIELD OBSERVED
Pattern:Catalog number was correct. Conditions around it weren’t. That’s why we don’t quote from part number alone.

Insight — anyone can ship a catalog number

OUR MAPPING • BEFORE QUOTATION

CONFIG
Face / elastomer / SS316
That’s why returns are rare. Checked fit, not number.

In B2B plants, downtime costs more than the seal. We learned that shipping fast but wrong creates two shipments — one out, one back. Shipping once after review creates zero returns.

So we invert the flow. Instead of “give us part number → we ship”, we ask for four things. Every time. Even if you know exactly what you want. Especially then.

What we are — Built around the application

SYSTEM

We start with equipment and conditions, not a part number. That’s why the families exist. ME, CA, SP, BE, AG, SU, SX — each built for a different job, not a different shelf.

Catalog logic: Ø14–100mm, −120 to +400°C, up to 150 bar checked at intersection. Materials: SS316 / SiC / Carbon / Viton / PTFE / FFKM. Homepage asks what you know — equipment, industry, or photo — catalog routes to family, review confirms configuration.
ME20
−40 to +220°C

Mechanical Seals

Ø14–100mm • Single / Multi-spring

Workhorse range. Most plant calls land here.

CA10
Checked to 150 bar

Cartridge Seals

Single / Double • API balanced

Pre-assembled, error-resistant.

SP3
In-situ install

Split Seals

No dismantling • Pumps / Mixers

When shutdown window is short.

BE4
−120 to +400°C

Bellows Seals

Metal & Elastomer • High integrity

Covers LNG −120°C to hot processes.

AG2
Low speed, high torque

Agitator Seals

Top / Bottom entry • Reactors

Reactor duty, not pump duty.

SU3
Plan 52 / 53 / 54

Support Systems

API 682 Plans • Reservoir / Cooler

Flush plan is not optional.

SX12
Engineered only

Specialty

Dry-run / High-temp / Slurry / Custom

When standard families don't fit.

04

How we work — four ways in, one honest path out

THEN 6 STEPS • NO TIME PROMISES, JUST PROCESS
01

Sales checks completeness. If incomplete, auto-ack + checklist. If photo blurry, we ask for scale.

02

Engineering checks materials, faces, elastomer, box. Not just price match.

03

Only then: quotation with alternatives if needed. Checked fit, not catalog number.

05LIMITS

Limits are
combinatorial.
Not brochure max.

EXAMPLE • SAME PRESSURE, DIFFERENT REALITY
CASE A
150 bar @ 25°C
Clean water • 2900 rpm • SiC/Carbon + Viton within envelope.
CHECKED • OK
CASE B
150 bar @ 300°C
Same pressure — elastomer fails, face load rises, metallurgy limit. Needs FFKM + SiC/SiC + cooled plan.
RE-MAP REQUIRED

We don’t stack maxima from different columns. We check intersection: Pressure ∩ Temperature ∩ Media ∩ Speed. That’s engineering review — not marketing.

Why we refuse catalog-only quoting:
  • Box pressure can exceed system pressure with dead-ended flush
  • Temperature moves elastomer limits — Viton 200°C ≠ 300°C
  • Solids content changes face choice — SiC needed, not Carbon
  • Speed changes PV, heat — faces and flush must adapt
PRESSURE ∩ TEMPERATURE ∩ MEDIA = CHECKED FIT

Have existing seal?
Don’t know exact
replacement? That’s okay.

No seal ships without review. Engineering review 100% — even for 1 pc. No spam, no fake stock promises. We review info, follow up only with what engineering needs.

Send what you have — photo, model, box dimensions, failure mode. We don’t need perfect data. We need enough to check intersection. No stock theater, no catalog-number guessing.

SEND
Equipment model + shaft Ø + box photo. That’s enough to start review.
RECEIVE
Checked fit, material mapping, install notes, flush plan if needed.

4Existing seal ref if any — we verify, we don't re-ship blind
